SNMP監視のグラフ化には20世紀からずっとMRTGを使っていましたが、世の中的にはRRDtoolに移行している様なので、インストール&設定をば。
といってもインストールは簡単。前のエントリでrpmforgeをリポジトリ追加してあるので、
# yum list | grep -i munin
munin.noarch 1.2.5-2.el5.rf rpmforge
munin-node.noarch 1.2.5-2.el5.rf rpmforge
# yum install munin.noarch munin-node.noarch
でRRDtool+Munin+その他動作に必要なソフトウェアが一発で入っちゃう。
パッケージ管理って素敵。
設定の方も、
# vi /etc/munin/munin.conf
作業ディレクトリとHTMLファイルの出力先を指定して、
# vi /etc/munin/munin-node.conf
で終了。cronなんかもyum installした時点で自動設定されているので
# /etc/init.d/munin-node start
するだけでこんな感じの出力を5分毎に更新します。出力を確認したら、自動起動の設定をしておきましょう。
# /sbin/chkconfig munin-node on
# /sbin/chkconfig --list munin-node
munin-node 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off
Plug-inの追加で、ApacheやMySQLなんかのプロセスも監視できる模様。
